LanzaJet Named Climate Champion of the Year at the 23rd Annual Chicago Innovation Awards
CHICAGO, IL, November 18, 2024 – LanzaJet, a leading sustainable fuels technology company and sustainable fuels producer, was named Climate Champion at this year’s Chicago Innovation Awards ceremony.
The winners were announced at this year’s event held on November 14th at the UIC Forum. The annual Chicago Innovation Awards is the Chicago region’s foremost recognition of the most innovative new products or services brought to market each year.
LanzaJet is paving the way for cleaner air travel through Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production. LanzaJet’s ethanol-to-SAF technology transforms ethanol from renewable and waste-based sources into jet fuel that is compatible with current aircraft and infrastructure. LanzaJet’s SAF can significantly reduce life cycle greenhouse gas emissions and even reach carbon-negative depending on the feedstock used. Additionally, it decreases particulate matter by up to 95%, helping to lower the environmental impact of aviation. LanzaJet’s flexibility in using diverse feedstocks allows it to address specific environmental needs globally.
