LanzaJet Named to MIT Technology Review’s 15 Climate Tech Companies to Watch
CHICAGO, IL, October 1, 2024 – LanzaJet, a leading sustainable fuels technology company and sustainable fuels producer, was today named to the MIT Technology Review’s 15 Climate Tech Companies to Watch list. The second-annual list highlights companies that have a real shot at meaningfully driving down greenhouse-gas emissions and safeguarding society from the worst impacts of climate change.

To assemble the list, MIT Technology Review’s climate team consulted a wide range of industry experts, academic sources, and investors to identify a diverse group of nominees from across the climate tech sector. From this pool, the Technology Review editors selected 15 companies based on their technological innovations and proven ability to implement solutions that have the potential to reduce emissions or mitigate the impacts of climate change.
LanzaJet’s proprietary ethanol-to-SAF technology is poised to enable the aviation industry to meet its net zero targets by 2050. The company is now engaged in more than 25 countries and on five continents, and in January opened the world’s first ethanol-to-SAF plant in Soperton, Georgia, USA. MIT Technology Review called LanzaJet a leader in the Alcohol-to-Jet pathway.
This year, LanzaJet has also been named to the TIME100 Most Influential Companies list and Fortune’s 2024 list of Most Innovative Companies, ranking #8 in culture and #22 in product.
