Doug Graham
Vice President, General Counsel
Doug Graham is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, the Vice President overseeing the Legal Department and related functions. He has been with LanzaJet since June 2021, and focuses on intellectual property, international commercial transactions, and construction contracting.
Prior to LanzaJet, Doug was General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and VP of Regulatory Affairs at a NYSE-listed international materials and consumer products company where he prosecuted numerous patent applications and intellectual property matters related to renewable fuel production, and was the first General Counsel of a specialty construction company during a double-digit growth period before its eventual sale. He has over 25 years of broad inhouse experience, including United Airlines in the aviation sector, and Exelon Corporation, one of the largest energy companies. Doug started his career at the Chicago office of the law firm of Jenner & Block, where he handled primarily intellectual property, employment and construction litigation, corporate mergers, and commercial transactions. He is counsel of record on numerous federal court appeals, including a US Supreme Court case.
He has been passionate about renewable energy, public service, and the environment throughout his life, most recently demonstrated by his board and officer service at the Respiratory Health Association, Amigos de las Americas, and the American Lung Association of Metropolitan Chicago.
Doug earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Law Reform, and also has an A.B. from the University of Michigan in Economics and History.
